Reverb 12: Day 31. New Year’s Resolutions!

Clean Slate: Tomorrow begins a new year.  What will you do with your new beginning?

Okay, so last Reverb 12 post and I’m a day late. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Today is the first day of 2013. Resolution time! Here are the grand ideas I have for the year, in no particular order, not censored in terms of my limited resources and available time, and including what came out of Reverb 12.

In 2013, I resolve to:

  • Make exercise a priority
  • Lose 25 lbs
  • Get back in shape (can it get any more broad than this statement?!?)
  • Clean out and organize my home office
  • Put together a list of family traditions to try out this year
  • Be nicer to my husband
  • Host friends and families for suppers every other week (but keep it casual and don’t turn it into a chore!)
  • Start learning Portuguese
  • Put the drama of dental school behind me
  • By January 7th, break my resolutions down into attainable, measurable goals and build some reminders into my calendar to follow through with everything

What are your resolutions for the year? If you don’t make resolutions, why not?

My resolution is boring and the same one I’ve made for the last two years: qualify for the Boston Marathon. But I’d also like to be nicer to my family, and more attentive to them in an appropriate way. I also want to eliminate the clutter spots in my house and be more present in my job.

Happy New Year! Good luck with your list. I think you can do it.

    Hey lady!

I think what I was so shocked about by the end of Reverb was how many “themes” there were for this year that I didn’t notice until…now. Just like you with the dental school bit. And some of it was extremely difficult and confusing to sort through.

Happy New Year, I am so glad that you Reverbed and I am so thrilled that I still get to peek into your life through your blog!

    Xoxo

I haven’t spent much time thinking about resolutions or goals for 2013, but I know that I want to finish my masters degree. It should be done already, but a lot of it has been out of my control, which is frustrating. I also want to travel as much as possible!

They are some great Goals!! I really need to write mine down!!! Actually I have kinda started – This year we want to save money, so I have written in my diary (Paper, Calender, Iphone & computer) when various regular payments are due. Now I just need to sort out all the other bills and We’ll be sweet!
