Life is Good

My apologies for not posting more Olympics photos.  I’ve got a ton, but haven’t got around to blogging more about my amazing experience in London because I am now officially a business owner!

Needless to say, taking over my dental practice has been at the top of the priority list; blogging – not so much.

Last Wednesday was my official first day and I have been completely overwhelmed since then.  I had someone ask yesterday if I was stressed, and I replied that I was a little stressed, but even with having to sort out whether or not I need to drop $10,000 + on new practice software, how billing works so that the cheques come to me, if and when I need to hire an additional dental assistant, how to politely tell the former owner who now works for me that he’s got to change how he charts information, etc., etc., it is nothing compared to how terrible dental school was.  Sure my husband has also completely changed careers and we’ve got young children who need attention; life is still 1 million times better now than when I was in school.

Must be off to work soon.  Will do my best to post more pics soon!

Congratulations on surviving your first week in your new practice – just remember, the first year will be the trickiest because you’re establishing a routine, seeing everyone in every season, etc. Be patient with yourself! Update when you can, we look forward to hearing your stories from the Olympics, life and everything else.

A big congratulations on your new practice! You’ll settle in and then you’ll feel like a pro. Absolutely looking forward to your Olympic tales, but I’ll be here when the blogging feels easy again!
