On the Mend

I spent a couple of hours on Friday afternoon in the doctor’s office.  Though all week I kept hoping that I would feel better (always “tomorrow”), it was clear to me Friday morning at school that I was not ready to be back.  I needed to consult a physician.  Since I wasn’t able to get in to see my doctor, I did walk-in at her clinic and ended up waiting for about an hour.  The doctor I saw was really nice and seemed very knowledgeable and prescribed me some antibiotics that would deal with my GI issue, as well as the minor sinus infection I apparently had.  Guess that would explain why I had a headache for 5 days.

I’m starting to feel better.  My head doesn’t feel like it’s going to explode anymore and my stomach is starting to settle down.  I’m still feeling really tired and fibre isn’t really part of my diet yet, but I’m on the mend.

Unfortunately, I missed 3 full days of school last week, so I expect to be playing catchup for a while.  At the same time, I’m still feeling really run down and not up to a ton of studying.  It’s gonna be ugly for a couple of weeks.

On the fitness front, I’m not working out yet.  Hopefully this week I can get in a few nice-and-easy workouts, but I’m not going to push myself.  I suspect that the school-related stress I was (or am) experiencing was a contributing factor in how sick I got, and while exercise is obviously good for both body and mind, hard exercise isn’t sometimes and I think this is one of those times.

On the agenda today: a take-home test (30 min), laundry, meal planning, shopping list, tracking down notes for the classes I missed last week, studying for a midterm Tuesday, and making a schedule for the week.  I may have to sneak a nap in there, because I’m tired just thinking about everything I need to do.

How are you spending your Sunday?  Is it laundry, shopping, or cleaning day, or do you spend it on more relaxing and fun pursuits?

Ugh, I had a sinus thing this weekend and it was just intensely painful. I feel you, lady. I’m so glad that you’re finally on the mend.

Today was all about laundry, cooking and relaxing for moi. It was perfect.

glad you’re feeling a bit better, hope you’re 100% soon! Sundays for me are generally a day to catch-up (cleaning, groceries, you know, all the boring adult stuff.) hey did you ever book your massage? maybe that’ll be a nice treat once you’re up to it!
