Smile. Seems so easy. Take every opportunity, from smiling at yourself in the mirror like a goof, to smiling at strangers at the drug store, to smiling at your husband when you get home from work. Smile so much that you make your cheeks sore.

Make yourself a cup of tea. It doesn’t have to be fancy. Hot water in your favourite mug, whatever kind of tea you have in your cupboard. Let it steep, and then sit and enjoy. 

Having a cup of tea in the morning can be a great ritual to start off your day with ease. Herbal tea as a before-bed ritual can also be soothing and can prepare you mentally, as a signal to power yourself down for the night.
